Expense and Revenue Report

We have to pay fees on your behalf based in part on your Expenses and Gross Revenue. The only way we can report this properly is to ask you to report the data to us. If you are new enough that our system has no listener hours or sessions for the reporting month in question, you owe no report until the next reporting cycle.

Please note that PRONETLicensing fees are NOT to be included in your Expense reports. Music acquisition costs are not included either. Please note also that if you have are new and your station had no listening hours to report for the reporting month, you will NOT be able to enter your Expense and Gross Revenue report. Your first report will be due the following month.

How do I find my report page? Just log into your PRONETLicensing Control Panel, choose "Client Area" / Look on the right under "Quick Links" and choose "Revenue/Expense & View Usage Stats."  Now click on the tab that says "Reporting".

Next click on the Add Rev/Exp button and a box will pop up to report Gross Revenue and a box to report Expenses. Enter the appropriate numbers in the correct box (you must use the format #.## so for example, if you report 0 dollars in Revenue you must enter 0.00) then click the Submit Rev/Exp button.

See below for information on identifying what are Expenses and Gross Revenue as well as information on reading your current listener hours.  The screen image below has changed with the new features.  But it is the same with your having to submit the revenue and expenses amount then submit.

Expenses are the cost of operating your station. This would include the cost of your stream server, website for the radio station, and etc. Do NOT include PRONETLicensing fees in that amount and do NOT include the cost of acquiring music in the expense you report.

Gross Revenue is not profit. Gross Revenue is ALL you take in for your station (donations, advertising, fees from dj's who pay for their slot on your station, etc.)

How to obtain current listener stats and other data on this page:

Now if you have several streams you can look in the report window and see the totals for last month for EACH stream as shown in the picture below. Be sure to check that out BEFORE you submit your revenue report because once you submit your month's report the individual stream information is posted and disappears.

However, you can always view your total account stats for the last 24 hours, seven days, and 30 days. This will help you better manage your station and see how your Listeners' Hours and Sessions, as well as your reported Gross Revenue and Expenses, stack up against your licensed level. To find current stats click on "Display Current Stats"

If your stats exceed the licensed level we will have to upgrade your license plan to the next level. Conversely, if you notice your stats are low enough to move to a lower level, feel free to contact me about downgrading your plan to a less expensive plan. If you qualify for a lower plan it is your responsibility to notify me and ask for downgrading from your current plan.

Important other info:

If you have no stream data for the previous month, you will not be able to enter any Revenue or Expense. In that case wait for the next month's reporting window.

Expense and Revenue Reporting is not optional, we must have this info for the reports we file on your behalf to the license entities.

Your Streams must be entered and validating in our monitoring panel for license coverage. If all your Station's Streams are not entered in our monitoring panel, your StreamLicensing coverage is invalid. If you need help, just start a service ticket.

You are responsible for Website Copyright Compliance as well as the other parameters in our Terms Of Service. We will gladly check your website for you if you ask. If you need help, just start a service ticket.  For more information see our tutorial here.
